BBQ Chicken

BBQ chicken tonight. For the sauce blend a few tomatoes, garlic cloves, chopped shallot, ginger, cumin, coriander, curry powder, honey and water. Simmer for about half an hour until the sauce reduces and is the desired thickness! Put it under the skin of some baked chicken.


Lemonade Picnic

The weather is nice, so mix up some honey sweetened lemonade, cut up some fresh fruit and put together a summer salad and get into the great outdoors!

Spring is here! Its time to put that grill to some good use! Try making kabobs, a great activity to do with the whole family, easy clean up and tastes great! I sprinkled mine with some jerk seasoning to give them a little umph.

I don't even know what to call this, its not your ordinary chicken soup, maybe Magic Potion #8 will work for now. Its packed full of deliciousness with veggies, a whole chicken (this is the trick) and some extra spices.


Tex-Mex Salad

Tex-Mex Salad - its all about the condiments! Add olives to your salsa for some extra flare. Lemon zest, lemon juice and fresh crushed garlic gives guacamole some kick.

Gazpacho Salad: We use this as a part of our lunches, peppers, zuchini, tomatoes, scallions and dill. Super easy, super tasty.


Carrot Ginger Soup

Carrot Ginger soup that is super easy and quick to make. Boil carrots in some chicken broth until tender, remove skin from ginger and chop into the soup. Puree and serve!


Summer Salad

One of the hardest things about vacation is eating right. We love to stay at B&Bs who will let us use their kitchen. Todays creation is a basil/arugula summer salad with grape tomatoes, proscuitto and some trail mix!
